Environmental Policy: The main goal of environmental policy in the college is to regulate resource use or reduce pollution to promote human welfare and protect natural systems. Tragedy of the commons is the processes by which publicly accessible resources open to unregulated use tend to become damaged and depleted through overuse. In order to minimize this impact sustainable practices in the college are being followed.
The college in order to fulfil its commitment in curbing the environmental hazards will
- Comply with relevant environmental legislation and regulations.
- Impart awareness of environmental matters amongst its students and the college staffs.
- Ensure that environmental policy is strictly implemented.
- Maximizing in the utilization of renewable energy and minimizing in the utilization of non-renewable resources in the college campus.
- To organize annual plantation drive by the college authority in the college campus and its adopted villages.
Objectives:
- Increase the use of renewable resources in the college.
- Rationalization of water usage in the college.
- Prohibition on the usages of plastics in the college campus and its surroundings.
- Timely review of environment policies issued by the government and adhering to its policies.
- Maximum outreach on the advocacy of ecology and environment.
