Human Rights
Human rights are basic rights that belong to all of us simply because we are human. They embody key values in our society such as fairness, dignity, equality and respect. They are an important means of protection for all of us, especially those who may face abuse, neglect and isolation.
The Churachandpur college gives priority to Human Rights and how the teachers, students and the entire set up of the institution is responsible in ensuring that each and every one is protected against unfair practices that may endanger the lives of everyone involved.
The Human Rights Act 1998 requires public bodies including schools/ colleges/ institutions to act in a manner that is compatible with human rights. If this does not occur, a person who is negatively affected can complain to the court that his/her rights have been breached.
Human rights are moral principles for certain standards of human behaviour and are regularly protected in municipal and international law. They are commonly understood as inalienable, fundamental rights " to which a person is inherently entitled simply because he/ she is a human being " and which are " inherent in all human beings ", regardless of their age, ethnicity, origin, location, language, religion, or any other status. They are applicable everywhere and at every time in the sense of being universal, and they are egalitarian in the sense of being the same for everyone. As such Churachandpur college respects Human rights and expects everyone to show empathy, follow the rule of law, and it imposes an obligation on its students, teachers and others to respect the human rights of others, and that it should not be taken away to cause injury and harm to others.
The Churachandpur college believes that Human rights should be encouraged and everyone should use it as a frame of reference in the institution and in the relationships with others.
It is hoped that in such an environment the College would be able to provide a safe and humane society to everyone engaged in the institution one way or the other.
